A Little Jolley's History
Don't be afraid of a little history lesson, we won't make it too boring! Find out how Jolley's started and became the great place it is today.
For those who may not know the story behind Jolley's, here's a little about a local family owned business that has become a neighbor treasure for those here in Salt Lake City. Jolley's was started as a pharmacy by Joel Jolley in 1954 and had their first location on 9th East and 9th South. Joel's sons grew up and some became pharmacists but of one his sons, Bryce, decided to focus on business. The pharmacy outgrew that little space and they bought the building here on 13th South and 17th East. They also expanded the pharmacies into other locations and separated the ownership between the different brothers.

So how did that Jolley's Pharmacy turn into what it is today? Well, Bryce decided to add some gift items, candy, and start a video rental store. To many, Jolley's was known as Top Hat Video for many years. As Redbox and Netflix came out, video rental started to die out. By that time, they had already started a little floral shop inside the store as well. Things just continued to expand and they added more and more of everything.
A few years back, Amy Bennett became the buyer for Jolley's and we owe much of the store's cute and great atmosphere to her and her talent in picking the perfect items that any woman loves to get their hands on. With Amy's help, Jolley's started carrying jewelry, clothing, shoes, baby items, and started to become more like the boutique it currently is.
Many people don't know the history of this great little store and would never think to come to their "neighborhood pharmacy" to buy the cutest shoes or get the most beautiful floral arrangements. So don't let that fool you! While we still have a great pharmacy (here), come in and check out all of our great gifts and merchandise.
Just for fun, here are some different logos we've had:
